In the last decad, many new collections were made in South and Central Kalimantan. Recent collectors like Tomey, Idei, Sasaki, Wongso and Budianto found a lot of new plants. And as you might expect in Cryptocoryne, many problems are to be solved. Especially in the C. cordata complex. This page is intended to faciliate the discussion between collectors, growers and scientists.
The areas on the map are only a rough indication of the localities. The name is chosen for a quick orientation, f.e. because of an airport. No doubt that many of the new (live) collections could be made because of the rapid developing of roads.
