Cryptocoryne schulzei de Wit

Cryptocoryne schulzei has a narrow distribution in Johore, Malaysia. It is found in a few small streams and rivers and it is threatened in nature by over collecting and change in land use. It may perhaps survive in the waters between plantations but one has to take care.

Distribution of C. schulzei in Johore (W.Malaysia). In the same area grow C. nurii, C. cordata and C. griffithii.

Though Cryptocoryne schulzei is imported quite often today , there are very few records of success in cultivation. The plant is not well suited for the aquarium.
